What happens at dance moot?
We teach renaissance dance during the afternoon, enjoy a medieval repast, then enjoy social and demonstration dances in the evening. Live music is provided for all the dancing, and participants wear appropriate medieval or renaissance costume.
Do I need previous (renaissance) dance experience?
Do I need previous (renaissance) dance experience?
No, we will not assume previous experience of any form of dance, but we will indicate when specific dances are being taught or performed whether they are more or less suitable for beginners.
Can I attend just to watch, that is, without participating in the dancing?

Yes, you are welcome to attend, but note the price is the same whether or not you join in the dancing.

If you are interested playing music, please contact us in advance, detailing the instrument(s) you play and your experience level, and we will look at what it is practical for you to join in with.

Yes, but we may still need to charge the full price. Please indicate if you only want to attend part of the event when booking.
